Lynda Coulter MBE
Lynda Coulter is the founder of the Human Milk Bank and is currently the
Human Milk Bank manager on the Special Care Baby Unit at the Countess of Chester Hospital (COCH). She is also a trustee of
the United Kingdom Association for Milk Banking (UKAMB). Lynda won the National Nurse Midwife of the Year Award at the
Dept. of Health's 2005 Health and Social Care Awards and was also runner up in the BLISS Baby Charter Neonatal Awards
in the Neonatal Lifetime Award category in recognition of her work in human milk banking.

Maria Isabel Alonso
Maria Isabel Alonso obtained her (MA) International Public Relations
& Management in 2008. As the Personal Assistant to Lynda Coulter, Isabel is responsible for the administration, assist
with the updating and development of the Web Site and promotes worldwide links in human milk banking. She keenly supports
all the charity events and fundraising activities.

Jane Lewis
Jane Lewis is a Midwife who is responsible for screening all potential donor mothers.
Having practicised midwifery for over 30 years Jane has a keen interest in promoting breastfeeding and in the well being and
nutrition of neonates.

Carole Pritchard
Carole Pritchard has worked as a community Midwife in Chester since 1985.
As part of her midwifery role, she pursues an interest in infant feeding and is a professional member of the local breast
feeding support group known as The Baby Cafe.
Carole is a donor screener for the milk bank.

Angela McShane
Angela McShane has worked as a Neonatal Nurse in Australia and UK for several
decades. Her current roles on the Chester Unit include pasteurisation duties for the human milk bank and occasional duties
as a Neonatal Nurse.

Julia Smith
Julia Smith is a fully qualified Pharmacy Dispenser who currently works
as the house-keeper for the neonatal unit at the Countess of Chester Hospital.
Julia is a pasteuriser for
the milk bank.

Alison Hourihane MCIM DipM
Alison Hourihane is a marketing consultant who is responsible for the HMB website and works with the HMB team for promotional
and fundraising activities.
Alison has been a milk donor and her daughters Emma and Charlotte were both recipients of donor milk. Charlotte spent 17
days on the neo-natal unit during August 2005.

Michele Worden
Michele Worden, Midwife and Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner offered unstinting professional support from the inception
of the service through collaborative working, fundraising and even becoming a donor mother. Her invaluable support continues
as the service grows and develops.

Volunteer Drivers
We also have volunteer drivers who collect milk from donor mums and deliver
it to the milk bank.
